Advancing Work Readiness for People Experiencing Homelessness- A Half-Day Symposium

Advancing Work Readiness for People Experiencing Homelessness- A Half-Day Symposium

Angel Mason Broadus March 4, 2026

On Tuesday, March 17, 2026, from 8:30–11:30 am, the Lucky Duck Foundation, U.S. Bank, and the National Conflict Resolution Center (NCRC) will host a half-day convening at the San Diego Job Corps Center. This gathering will bring together providers from across the Continuum of Care and workforce development systems to explore how we can collectively strengthen pathways to employment and long-term housing stability.

The morning will include a networking breakfast, a panel featuring leaders in homeless services and workforce development, and facilitated roundtable discussions designed to surface challenges, highlight promising practices, and identify opportunities for deeper collaboration across our region. Our goal is to foster meaningful dialogue that leads to stronger partnerships and improved outcomes for the individuals and communities we serve.

Panel Discussion will feature:
Tamera Kohler, CEO of the Regional Task Force on Homelessness (RTFH)
Jesse Casement, Chief Client Services Officer at Father Joe’s Villages
Fabia Parkinson, Vice President of Human Services at Goodwill Industries of San Diego County

An optional lunch mixer and tour of the San Diego Job Corps trade training facilities will follow the symposium for those who wish to continue connecting.

Please RSVP through the link or by emailing Krysta Nunn, Development Officer at NCRC, at Knunn@ncrconline.com.

Angel Mason Broadus February 20, 2026

Join Coastal Roots Farm for their new Dayenu Circle, a monthly advocacy group rooted in Jewish values and hope-filled climate action.

Together with Dayenu Circles across the US, we are fighting to pass an important and winnable CA initiative: the CA Climate Superfund Bill (SB 684/AB 1243), or “Make Polluters Pay.” The Polluters Pay Superfund Bill will make the Big Oil and Gas companies that have made trillions in profits in California pay their fair share when climate emergencies strike our state.
