12th Annual Mitchell Thorp Foundation Warrior Spirit 5K and Scavenger Hunt Goes Virtual

12th Annual Mitchell Thorp Foundation Warrior Spirit 5K and Scavenger Hunt Goes Virtual

North County Philanthropy Council January 6, 2021

The 12th Annual Mitchell Thorp Foundation (MTF) Warrior Spirit 5K and Scavenger Hunt Goes Virtual, benefiting families whose children are battling life-threatening medical conditions & disorders. Participants can register and choose their own course in their own cities and neighborhoods and complete between February 6th– 21st, 2021.

This annual event is MTF’s largest fundraiser of the year, allowing them to help more families with children diagnosed with life-threatening medical conditions. The funds raised go to MTF’s programs to help children like Jocelyn, age 7, who has been diagnosed with Leukemia. Jocelyn’s mom like many, had to leave her job to stay by her side at the hospital while undergoing chemotherapy, Reagan age 10 diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia and Jordan age 15 diagnosed with brain cancer. MTF helps families keep a roof overhead, food on the table, and helps cover medical costs not covered under most insurance programs,

It is never too late to be a corporate sponsor, and or create a company team to participate to help a child fighting for their tomorrow. To register, go to:www.warriorspirit5K.org  start a team, grab your family, or donate to help a child. MTF is a public 501 (c)(3) www.mitchellthorp.org

Virtual English Tea

Virtual 25th Annual English Tea

North County Philanthropy Council January 30, 2020

Virtual 25th Annual English Tea

April 4, 2020 | 1:30 PM – 4:00 PM

Encinitas Community Center, 1140 Oakcrest Park Drive, Encinitas, CA 92024

Due to COVID-19, CRC’s 25th Annual English Tea has been canceled. But, even though we can’t attend in person on April 4, we can all “attend” online. The Tea raises critical funding for CRC, and was budgeted to raise $100,000 this year, so we hope you’ll support the event from your homes.

The English Tea, a benefit fundraiser for Community Resource Center, provides funding for CRC’s domestic violence program and all our wraparound services that provide food, housing, counseling and legal advocacy to those who are hungry, homeless and hurting in our community.

The Tea will feature a silent auction, raffle, short program … and delightful tea! Each guest will enjoy homemade tea sandwiches, scones & sweets, champagne and tea.

The program will feature Dr. Ami Roeschlein , CRC’s Clinical Supervisor, who will speak on “Resilience.” She will highlight the advances we’ve made in the past 10 years, and where we are headed in the future, to not only provide the best support and treatment for survivors of domestic violence, but to help them thrive. You’ll learn how the resilience of a community can support the resilience of an individual, and how your support provides paths to new lives for survivors and their children.

The English Tea sells out every year, so please don’t wait to purchase your ticket! We hope you can join us.
