DogFest San Diego & The Art Tail!
Virtual 25th Annual English Tea
April 4, 2020 | 1:30 PM – 4:00 PM
Encinitas Community Center, 1140 Oakcrest Park Drive, Encinitas, CA 92024
Due to COVID-19, CRC’s 25th Annual English Tea has been canceled. But, even though we can’t attend in person on April 4, we can all “attend” online. The Tea raises critical funding for CRC, and was budgeted to raise $100,000 this year, so we hope you’ll support the event from your homes.
The English Tea, a benefit fundraiser for Community Resource Center, provides funding for CRC’s domestic violence program and all our wraparound services that provide food, housing, counseling and legal advocacy to those who are hungry, homeless and hurting in our community.
The Tea will feature a silent auction, raffle, short program … and delightful tea! Each guest will enjoy homemade tea sandwiches, scones & sweets, champagne and tea.
The program will feature Dr. Ami Roeschlein , CRC’s Clinical Supervisor, who will speak on “Resilience.” She will highlight the advances we’ve made in the past 10 years, and where we are headed in the future, to not only provide the best support and treatment for survivors of domestic violence, but to help them thrive. You’ll learn how the resilience of a community can support the resilience of an individual, and how your support provides paths to new lives for survivors and their children.
The English Tea sells out every year, so please don’t wait to purchase your ticket! We hope you can join us.

Until seven years ago there had NEVER been a dog allowed in the San Diego Botanic Garden (SDBG) in Encinitas. Then came the first-ever 5K Paw Walk in the Garden benefiting your Rancho Coastal Humane Society and SDBG. More than 350 people with dogs put their best paws forward to support these two landmark organizations. We hope you will join us for the 8th Annual on Saturday, February 15, 2020!
Join TEAM PRAVA as we head to Kensington THIS Thursday for our first Contractor Beer Social of 2020! We will be supporting Warrior Foundation: Freedom Station by collecting items from their Wish List. There will be several different industries attending this event, so there will be a little something for everyone. This is a casual event based on creating relationships with our peers. Guests are welcome!
Boys & Girls Clubs of San Marcos will host Adopt-A-Family, a program that pairs generous donors with families who could use a little help for the holidays. Each donor is provided with a family’s holiday wish list to purchase, wrap, and label gifts. The donors drop the gifts off at the Club’s main branch the week of the exchange and have the option to present the gifts to the family at the Adopt-a-Family celebration at an assigned time on December 14th.
All who are part of the program are invited to enjoy refreshments, arts and crafts, and other holiday-themed activities before and after their exchange time.
If you would like to Adopt-A-Family this year or learn more about the program, please visit www.boysgirlsclubsm.org/adopt-a-family
