2 Pianos 4 Hands at North Coast Repertory Theatre
By popular demand, North Coast Repertory Theatre is bringing back the joyful family pleasing 2 PIANOS 4 HANDS to brighten the holiday season. Get ready for an interlude of riotous laughter as Richard Todd Adams and Matthew McGloin take us on a musical comedic journey about their would-be careers as concert pianists. The talented duo trade stories about piano lessons, pushy parents and eccentric teachers while playing everything from Bach to Billy Joel. This entertaining, crowd-pleasing show not only hits all the right notes, it tickles the ivories and your funny bone. Tickets will be flying out the door, so reserve yours early to avoid disappointment.

The show runs Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings and Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2pm. Added Monday matinee on December 23 and Friday, December 27 at 2pm. A Celebration of American Music Benefit at North Coast Repertory Theatre

Grand Opening Festival
October 26th marks the completion of Rancho Coastal Humane Society’s (RCHS) Campaign for Second Chances, transforming the campus to meet the tremendous growth of community needs since its founding in 1960. RCHS introduces 4 brand-new buildings, including Charlotte’s Medical Center, The Learning Center, Community Pet Food Bank, Behavior and Training Office, as well as a renovated Welcome and Adoption Center. RCHS will be able to expand their programs to support the human-animal bond, and to save and find forever homes for more than twice as many companion animals that are currently served.

Sounds of Laurel Canyon – A Back to the Graden Story Concert
In the late 1960s and early 70’s a collection of musicians colonized a eucalyptus-scented canyon deep in the Hollywood Hills to create folk, rock, and American pop into a sound that captured the hearts of the music world. Back to the Garden, recreates the music and vibe of the era featuring the music of the Byrds, The Doors, Joni Mitchell, Crosby Stills Nash and Young, Carole King, The Eagles, James Taylor, Buffalo Springfield, Mammas and the Papas, Jackson Browne including music from Woodstock and the Last Waltz.
These special shows will also includes Robert John Hughes as Story teller along with special guests Calman Hart and Danielle Tucker. The featured members of the band include Cactus Jim Soldi, Marc Intravaia, Rick Nash, Larry Grano, and Sharon Whyte.

Footloose the Musical
When Ren and his mother move from Chicago to a small farming town, he is prepared for the adjustment period at his new high school. But he is not prepared for the rigorous laws and edicts, including a ban on dancing instituted by the local preacher who is determined to exercise control over the town’s youth. When the reverend’s rebellious daughter sets her sights on Ren, her roughneck boyfriend tries to sabotage Ren’s reputation, with many of the locals eager to believe the worst about the new kid. The heartfelt story that emerges pins a father longing for the son he lost against a young man aching for the father who walked out a him and his mother. Set to the rocking rhythm of its Oscar and Tony-nominated Top 40 score, Footloose celebrates the wisdom of listening to young people while guiding them with a warm heart and open mind.
