VAC 2026
The 2026 Volunteer Awards Celebration was a powerful and inspiring afternoon that truly captured the spirit of service across our region. With more than 325 attendees, we had the privilege of recognizing 68 outstanding volunteers whose dedication and compassion strengthen our communities every day. From the energy in the room to the heartfelt stories shared on stage, it was a meaningful reminder of the collective impact that volunteerism brings. Our honorees were deeply appreciative, and the overwhelming feedback from attendees has been incredibly positive.
This year’s event felt especially impactful as we continue to elevate the experience and visibility of volunteerism in San Diego. From an engaging keynote conversation to a dynamic program and celebration, VAC continues to grow as a signature moment for our nonprofit community. None of this would be possible without the support of our sponsors, partners, and volunteers who help bring this event to life. We are grateful to everyone who played a role and are already looking forward to building on this momentum as we prepare for our 40th Anniversary celebration in 2027.

Volunteer Awards Celebration
For almost four decades, we have come together as a community of volunteers, philanthropists, business leaders, and nonprofit professionals to recognize and celebrate the incredible volunteers who are our colleagues, friends, family, and neighbors - the heroes of our community!
Every year, we have honored volunteers for their dedication to the nonprofit sector. These volunteers are critical to the success of many of San Diego’s nonprofits and the purpose of this event is to honor their service.
Oftentimes the nonprofits these volunteers support do not have the resources to celebrate these helpers – this event allows all nonprofits in San Diego to celebrate their valued volunteers. We host this celebration on behalf of all nonprofits in San Diego.
The 2026 VAC was held on April 10th at the Rancho Bernardo Inn from 2-5:30PM
