Lifeline’s 50th Anniversary Event & CEO Don Stump’s Retirement

Lifeline’s 50th Anniversary Event & CEO Don Stump’s Retirement

Monica Martinez September 18, 2023

Incorporated in 1973, Lifeline was founded by community volunteers passionate about making a difference in the lives of local youth. Fifty years later, this remains our focus as we continue to provide cutting-edge, trauma-informed, community-based programming.

After 16 years of dedicated service as CEO, Don Stump will retire from Lifeline at the end of 2023. Under Don’s guidance, Lifeline has flourished into an organization that serves and connects with over 25,000 individuals each year, advancing our mission of building self-reliance among youth, adults, and families through high-quality, community-based services.

Join us in celebrating 50 years of impact and congratulating Don and thanking him for his service to Lifeline and the San Diego community at our event on Saturday, October 21 from 5:30 – 9:00 PM at the Seabird Resort (101 Mission Avenue, Oceanside, CA 92054). Dinner and open bar included.

Every donation goes directly toward real-life support for Lifeline’s clients. The programs and services listed above are representative examples of the assistance Lifeline will be able to provide to its clients and families with each donation. Lifeline reserves the right to allocate funds to where they are most needed and will have the greatest impact. Celebrating Volunteer Heroes of San Diego in a New Format

Join us for a fun celebration of our region’s amazing volunteers!  The Board of Directors of NCPC invites you to the California Center for the Arts Escondido on November 3 from 2:00 – 6:00 pm for a Happy Hour styled event to honor all the Volunteers of the Year and recognize their outstanding contributions to our community!

This is a great opportunity to connect with other volunteers, colleagues, friends, and family while enjoying live music along with heavy hors d’oeuvres and multiple beverage options, both non-alcoholic and alcoholic.

There will be plenty of cocktail height tables for mingling, as well as lower/standard-height tables and chairs for those who require seating. If you or any of your guests need a seat secured, please let us know in the special accommodations section of your ticket purchase. View this year’s Volunteer Awards Celebration FAQs.

Don’t miss this chance to have some fun and celebrate our volunteers! There will be multiple photo opportunities and more surprises! We hope to see you there!

About The Event

For more than three decades, we have come together as a community of volunteers, philanthropists, business leaders, and nonprofit professionals to recognize and celebrate the incredible volunteers who are our colleagues, friends, family, and neighbors – the heroes of our community!

Every year, we have honored more than 100 volunteers for their dedication to the nonprofit sector. These volunteers are critical to the success of many of San Diego’s nonprofits and the purpose of this event is to honor their service.

We look forward to honoring and uplifting those who give their time, talent, and treasure to their very worthy cause at this year’s North County Philanthropy Council (NCPC) Volunteer Awards Celebration on Friday, November 3, 2023, at California Center for the Arts, Escondido from 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM.
