Foundation for Developmental Disabilities: Season of Sharing Event
Join us on Sunday, November 17th, 2024, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens for the Foundation for Developmental Disabilities (FDD) Season of Sharing event. This heartfelt program supports families served by the San Diego Regional Center (SDRC) who face financial challenges during the holiday season.
Last year, nearly $20,000 was raised, helping 135 SDRC families enjoy the holiday season. FDD aims to raise $30,000 this year to meet growing community needs.

Join us for an unforgettable evening at the North County LGBTQ Resource Center’s Welcome Home Gala! Celebrate with us as we gather to support and uplift our community. Enjoy a night of elegance, entertainment, and empowerment, all while contributing to the vital programs that make a difference in the lives of LGBTQ individuals in our region. Labrador Rescuers is an all-volunteer nonprofit dedicated to Labs and Lab Mixes, having rescued over 5,800 dogs and counting. We are celebrating our 20th year saving dogs and would love for you to join us for our major fundraiser “2 Decades of Dedication”. Upon arrival, guests will be greeted by Labassador dogs, have their photo taken and be welcomed with a champagne toast. Guests will then be invited to participate in bidding on the silent auction baskets, as well as purchasing opportunity drawing tickets and beads for the Head or Tails game. All while enjoying appetizers and cocktails from the open bar and taking in the amazing ocean views and sunset.
After the Silent Auction and Opportunity Drawings close, guests will move into the Ballroom to enjoy a plated three course meal and the Rainbow Bridge video presentation. Following will be the Live Auction featuring a performance by artist/speed painter Clarione, the Fund-A-Need Presentation, Heads or Tails Game and Opportunity Drawings.
Your contributions and support of this event are vital to our mission to help save more dogs in need for years to come. 100% of the proceeds from this fundraiser will go to helping the dogs! Join Women’s Empowerment International (WE) for our signature event of the year, celebrating our 20th anniversary of grantmaking for economic empowerment programs. Enjoy an afternoon of delicious food and drinks, a beautiful venue, live music, inspiring speakers, auction excitement, and a maker fair featuring women entrepreneurs from local WE grant-funded programs. Proceeds will benefit WE grants distributed to our high-impact partner programs, working to break cycles of poverty for women and their families in San Diego County and five other countries.
WE will also present our annual Woman of Empowerment Award at this event, honoring Linda L. Katz as our 2024 recipient.
