Mark your calendars for Friday, May 30th, 2025 and get ready for an inspiring and entertaining night dedicated to bringing our community together! This special event is designed to celebrate the incredible individuals who have contributed to our Guajome Park Academy and the Foundation, highlight the milestones we’ve achieved over the past year, and raise funds to continue our impactful work.
Event Highlights:
Please join us for our 60th annual Blue & Gold Freedom Fund Awards Gala! This special event is more than a celebration, it is a powerful testament to the individuals who have dedicated their time and lives to the fight for equality and justice in our community.
North San Diego County NAACP has been at the forefront of confronting the systemic inequalities that persist in our society for nearly six decades.
This year’s gala is an invitation to stand with us, to honor the selfless efforts of those who have paved the way, and to pledge your support for the ongoing battle against discrimination and injustice. Your presence and contributions are not just appreciated, they are vital. We hope to see you there.
This year at Celestial Nights we celebrate the many volunteers and supporters who have contributed mightily to the success of ISN’s programs. Celestial Nights awards volunteers and organizations that have gone above and beyond. The evening’s high point comes when clients and graduates of our programs share about the impact the organization and its volunteers have had in their lives. The event also includes a fundraising element through a silent and live auction.
Join us for hors d’oeuvres and wine as we celebrate and honor community leaders who have made a positive impact in assisting San Diegans.
The Woman’s Club of Vista (WCV) is hosting the Second Annual Vista Fun Walk for Autism Awareness and Acceptance on April 6, 2025 at the Vista Civic Center. All proceeds go to Vista nonprofits and nonprofit organizations that support autism research, awareness, and acceptance. Registration is now open for walkers as well as exhibitors and sponsors. Come join us for the most inspirational 5K run/walk in the region. On Saturday, February 1st. 2025, Carlsbad and the surrounding San Diego County communities will come together to celebrate the 16th Annual Mitchell Thorp Foundation Warrior Spirit 5K Run/Walk and Family Festival at Poinsettia Park, Carlsbad. The event will be supporting families whose children are suffering from life-threatening illnesses, diseases, and disorders. For 16 years, the community has encouraged and supported our local critically ill children and their families by showing them they are not alone with bringing hope and a warrior spirit.
As a participant you will receive a branded T-shirt and finishing medal. Opening ceremonies, you have the chance to see a skydiving demonstration, live bands, a fun DJ, warm up with a fitness team, join a hula-a-hoop contest, browse vendors, experience healing mini ponies, play games, inflatable jumpers and slides and much more. Prizes will be awarded for largest team and fundraiser, along with prizes for the best runners for men and women in multiple divisions.
The annual event is Mitchell Thorp Foundation’s largest fundraiser of the year, providing the support needed to increase the number of families and children saved. Families face 24/7 care and hardship when their child is diagnosed with a critical disease. The stress will test these families beyond their endurance, often bankrupting them financially, emotionally, and physically. Join us in helping children fighting for their tomorrows.
Mitchell Thorp Foundation is a public 501(c)(3) charity. (EIN: 27-0824320) Donations are tax deductible permitted by law. To learn more, go to: https://www.mitchellthorp.org/
