Join Director of Jewish Life & guest artist Mikey Pauker for a free, joyful, and participatory gathering on the Farm to welcome in the sacred pause of Shabbat. Through the moving melodies of Kabbalat Shabbat (the liturgy for Sabbath eve), approachable learning and embodied participation, you will be invited to let go of the week that’s past and to rest in the present moment, while connecting with the folks gathering around you. This sacred circle will be followed by a celebratory potluck dinner (participants encouraged to bring a favorite dish) as the sun sets on our Farm!

Intro to Earth-Based Judaism Series (4 classes)
In this four-part class, we will gather in lovely locations across the Farm to explore 4 basic pathways into the spiritual revolution called Earth-Based Judaism — and how to bring those pathways back into your life. The goal is more resilience, earth-love, responsibility, and joy.
Our learning will include sacred Jewish texts, hearty conversation, on-our-feet exploration and play, and moments of quiet reflection. The class will be nourished by the connections we forge with each other as much as by the content we explore, and that’s why we are capping registration at 30.
This series is open to adults of all ages, identities, abilities, and experience levels. You do not need to identify as Jewish to attend!
$100/person for whole series (4 classes). We strongly encourage registrants to attend all 4 classes. We are unable to prorate for partial attendance or offer refunds.

Earth-based Jewish wisdom will ground the event and serve as inspiration and jumping-off point for the artists. As we all navigate the darkness of the climate crisis and the environmental injustices of today, art can light our way and help us see, feel, and act with renewed joy and determination. That’s our hope for this Fest. Plus, loads of fun and connecting at our Farm after-party!
Farm Film and Music Series – Common Ground Film Screening
Join us this summer for a 5-part series featuring inspiring documentary films, local musicians, and meaningful conversations around equitable food systems, environmental justice, and caring for the planet.
Common Ground is our first film in the series and was directed by Josh and Rebecca Tickell. Sobering yet hopeful, ‘Common Ground’ exposes the toxic interconnections of American farming policy, politics, and health, by sharing stories of destruction and healing across the United States and beyond, and how regenerative agriculture and soil health plays a vitally important role in changing these systems for the better.
