You’ll experience a life-changing adrenaline rush and take in stunning views of downtown San Diego as you hang from the side of the iconic Manchester Grand Hyatt. This thrilling adventure is available to anyone. No prior experience necessary, for participants ages 13 to 103. 

This incredible event is a fundraiser for Reality Changers, a local organization that helps youth achieve their dreams. Every dollar raised supports tutoring, career readiness programs, college application support, and more for students who will be the first in their families to graduate from college.

The Woman’s Club of Vista (WCV) is hosting the Second Annual Vista Fun Walk for Autism Awareness and Acceptance on April 6, 2025 at the Vista Civic Center. All proceeds go to Vista nonprofits and nonprofit organizations that support autism research, awareness, and acceptance. Watershed Warriors: Bonsall Bridge 100th Anniversary

Join I Love A Clean San Diego, Your Bonsall Ambassador, and the County of San Diego for a litter cleanup and celebration of Bonsall Bridge’s 100th Anniversary! We will divert litter from our watersheds and keep it from traveling to the Pacific Ocean.

Our staff will have check-in ready for you on-site. Be sure to wear comfortable clothes, closed-toed shoes, some form of sun protection (sunscreen or a hat), and bring a water bottle or two! Staff will be providing everything else you will need! After a short orientation and safety talk you will be sent off to remove litter around the area! Staff will sort and dispose of the collected litter and after the cleanup, you can request community service verification in your Community Hub dashboard.

WAIVERS: This event requires a signed release-of-liability waiver for all volunteers, and anyone under 18 needs a waiver signed by a guardian. Please download and print the waiver below, sign, and bring with you to this cleanup. No printer? No problem! We will have waivers at check-in for volunteers. If you are under 18 please have your guardian check in with us at the cleanup to sign off on your participation.

WEATHER CANCELLATION POLICY: Our events are rain or shine! If it is raining on your cleanup day, we recommend rain boots, a raincoat, and a towel to dry off afterward.

Empowered WE Rise: 20th Anniversary Celebration

North County Philanthropy Council August 13, 2024

Join Women’s Empowerment International (WE) for our signature event of the year, celebrating our 20th anniversary of grantmaking for economic empowerment programs. Enjoy an afternoon of delicious food and drinks, a beautiful venue, live music, inspiring speakers, auction excitement, and a maker fair featuring women entrepreneurs from local WE grant-funded programs. Proceeds will benefit WE grants distributed to our high-impact partner programs, working to break cycles of poverty for women and their families in San Diego County and five other countries. 

WE will also present our annual Woman of Empowerment Award at this event, honoring Linda L. Katz as our 2024 recipient.

Lucky Duck Foundation Showcase Soirée

North County Philanthropy Council July 10, 2024

The Lucky Duck Foundation’s Showcase Soirée is an entertainment and variety show meant to be fun, casual, inspiring, and unlike any other fundraising event. It will feature live music, professional magician, a comedy routine, and more, and will be the event’s second year at The Sound in Del Mar. Funds raised will support the Lucky Duck Foundation’s many programs designed to prevent and alleviate homelessness.

Last year’s event was hosted by Peter Jacobsen, a professional golfer and commentator on Golf Channel and NBC. It also featured an LDF-themed game show hosted by Jacobsen; a comedy show by actor and comedian Steve Hytner, best known for his role as Kenny Bania on Seinfeld; a magic show by Derek Ostovani; a musical performance by the Dizzy Biz Band; and an appearance by former NFL and Chargers coach Norv Turner, along with dinner, a live auction, paddle raise, and more.

​All proceeds from this event will go toward FDD’s Help Fund Program. The Help Fund is one of the Foundation’s most impactful programs, serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDDs) and their families. Since 1986, we have provided over $2,000,000 to assist the San Diego Regional Center’s (SDRC) 37,000 clients in emergencies such as homelessness prevention and utility assistance.
