OTC Summer Theater Tech campers learn about lighting, sound, props, set construction and running a show backstage. The 6th Annual Goat for Joe Golf Classic & Mental Health Fair
In partnership with the Rotary Club of San Marcos, Goat for Joe raises funds for suicide prevention and mental health awareness, and TrueCare’s Behavioral Health Division is the primary beneficiary of the proceeds.

Capture the beauty of the Oceanside Pier at sunset with step-by-step instructions from artist W.B. of Cynthia’s Artistic Expression. Fuel your inspiration with a selection of alcoholic sips for those 21 and up or non-alcoholic sips for all ages. Instruction, painting supplies, and two beverages included for $60. Space must be reserved 24 hours in advance due to supplies. No same day sales.
Clever comedy and a nerdy audience make this sober New Year’s Eve one-of-a-kind. Come support comedy that got beat up in high school but ended up getting a great job. Humor + Intelligence = Fun Night Out. Scientist Turned Comedian Tim Lee hosts the show with several top nerd comics in the state The show concludes with the Nerd Olympics, a game show where audience members compete to answer nerdy questions. Lee, who got his PhD before realizing where his true talents lie, blends science talk (complete with PowerPoint presentations) with comedy. The hilarious result is like what would happen if you crossed your high school chem teacher with George Carlin.
An exploration of the themes of home, love, collective memory, and strong women, Black Rootedness, A Poetry Reading builds community across continents through verse. Inspired by the anthology Black Rootedness: 54 Poets from Africa to America, edited by Karla Brundage of the West Oakland to West Africa project, this poetry reading features writers from California to Kenya. Join Karla Brundage and Oceanside’s Rameses Setekh of Sown in Truth Orations as they host on Saturday, December 10 at the Oceanside Theatre Company at the Brooks, 217 N. Coast Hwy, Oceanside. There are many hidden art treasures in Escondido to be found, and we will discover them All. The treasure hunt/scavenger hunt gives you clues to finding them. But just to be fair, we will all leave at the same time. You will be given your first clue Saturday evening at 4:00 PM online. Then the next one is at the next location.
Upon finding and arriving, you will find the next clue, and so on. Each week we will discover hidden treasures about Escondido art and the artist that make it. Each hunt will take somewhere between 1 to 5 hours depending on you and your team.
You may choose to find the clue, and then quickly move on to the next clue, or you may want to simply stay awhile and enjoy the art at that clue’s location and then move on to the next one. You may opt to stay and enjoy the venue (Your 1st drink is on me and the theater tickets are paid for as well.) Teamwork is encouraged although not mandatory. The object is to have fun discovering Escondido’s hidden art treasures.
You will receive the link to the first clue online, and after your spot is reserved. All the other clues will be found in one of the hidden treasures in Escondido. You can take part in as many hunts as you like. They all start Saturday evening at 4:00 PM online, where you will be given your first clue for the night.
A donation will be made in your name after you pay for your entry to the Southern Sudanese Community Center of San Diego. Thank you for your participation. Good luck and have fun!
Your ticket gives you admission to hidden art treasures, admission to a few of the locations like the theater, and a glass of wine (if you are 21 years old.) You will receive your 1st clue at the start of the event on Saturday night at 4:00 PM.

The first Artist Open House will be held at the Brooks Theater Gallery on Saturday, November 5 from 6 to 7:30 pm to introduce a new exhibition highlighting the work of fourteen artists and their visual interpretations of Romance, creating an intriguing partnership between the Gallery and the Oceanside Theatre Company youth production of Beauty and the Beast, Jr.
A free event open to artists, families, art lovers and supporters, as well as the general public, the Artist Open House will feature live music, an artist working in the gallery on their current art piece, refreshments, and a concessions bar open for purchasing beer and wine.
Please Join us on November 12th, 2022 from 3:00-6:00pm for the Adopt-a-Family Fundraiser. This family friendly event will feature a foundation hosted reception. Your ticket purchase will provide access to our hosted reception, featuring small and large platter appetizer bites, and two drink tokens, which will be redeemable for any draft beer, house wine, hard seltzer, and non-alcoholic beverages.
The Adopt-a-Family program spreads holiday cheer to clients of the San Diego Regional Center who are without family support or experiencing severe hardship. Through this program the foundation provides $50 gift cards during the holiday season, to qualified San Diego Regional Center clients who need a little extra support to have a joyous holiday season for their families.

I Love A Clean San Diego presents the 38th annual Coastal Cleanup Day on Saturday, September 17, 2022. Join the largest single-day environmental cleanup effort in the San Diego County. You will be joining hundreds of thousands of volunteers all over the world by removing pollution from sites across the county!
