VCC Virtual Hula Gala 2021

VCC Virtual Hula Gala 2021

North County Philanthropy Council July 14, 2021

Join Vista Community Clinic (VCC) at 6 pm on Saturday, August 14th, when they will be broadcasting the aloha spirit into homes near and far during a luau-style gala. The FREE event will include authentic hula dancers, real patient stories, and amazing auction items, including a special island getaway for two.

All guests will have access to bid on auction items, enjoy the beautiful hula dancing, and learn so much more about what VCC does. Funds raised during the gala go directly into the services and programs VCC is able to provide to patients and community members. The event is family-friendly, and a great reason to host a get-together to take part in supporting such an important cause. Sponsorship opportunities are also available for individuals and organizations looking to be a partner in health. To learn more about sponsoring community healthcare, please email Betsy@vcc.org .

4th Annual Goat For Joe Golf Classic

North County Philanthropy Council April 19, 2021

The annual Goat For Joe Golf Tournament and BBQ is a fundraising event orchestrated by Dana and Andrea Albert through the San Marcos Rotary Club Foundation.  The presenting sponsor is Lawyers Title San Diego.  This was created in memory of Joseph Aaron Nunez, Andrea’s brother, who passed away by suicide in March 2017.  There are several families in North County San Diego that may have a “Joe” in their lives that is struggling with mental illness such as suicidal behavior, anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, or any other debilitating mental disability.

We strive to create community awareness and to educate people about identifying mental illness in loved ones.  We will provide families with options to consider for treatment.  Often times and particularly in grown men, people are ashamed and afraid to seek out professional and spiritual help.  We hope to eliminate the stigma of the topic and to encourage families to seek out resources that can help with Suicide Prevention and Mental Illness treatment.

The primary beneficiary or financial proceeds is True Care Behavioral Health Division.  True Care, formerly North County Health Services, is a San Marcos based non-profit medical service provider serving those with limited income or limited access to affordable healthcare services.  True Care has specialty centers with Mental & Behavioral Health service in Oceanside, San Marcos, and Perris.
