This is a tour stop for Hunt For Art Events. FYI… There is the 70th Annual Escondido Jaycees Christmas Parade, Sat, Dec 10, 2022, 4:00 PM on West Grand Avenue, therefore you’ll not be available for your online clue.

This is your clue: You’ll be Blown Away at this stop. You can book a class with a piece of glass or simply display your class working with glass.

The Hunt For Art Events:

There are many hidden art treasures in Escondido to be found, and we will discover them All. The treasure hunt/scavenger hunt gives you clues to finding them. But just to be fair, we will all leave at the same time. You will not be given your clue’s location this time on Saturday evening at 4:00 PM online, therefore HERE IT IS!

Each week we discovered hidden treasures about Escondido art and the artist that make it. Each hunt will take somewhere between 2 to 4 hours depending on you and your team. You may choose to quickly move on to the next venue, or you may want to simply stay awhile and enjoy the art and venue at that location before moving on.

You may still opt to stay and enjoy the venue (Your 1st drink and dinner are on me at one of the venues on the tour, and the theater tickets are paid for as well when a show is on the tour.) Teamwork is encouraged, although not mandatory. The object is to have fun discovering Escondido’s hidden art treasures.

You will not this time receive the link to the clues online. You can take part in as many hunts as you like because each week is different.

A donation will be made in your name after you pay for your entry to benefit the Southern Sudanese Community Center of San Diego. Thank you for your participation. By the way, if you cannot join consider donating your ticket. Simply register for one or all of the events, then contact me on the Saturdays you will not attend, and I will find someone who can join us in your place.

Artist Open House: “Romance” at the Brooks

The first Artist Open House will be held at the Brooks Theater Gallery on Saturday, November 5 from 6 to 7:30 pm to introduce a new exhibition highlighting the work of fourteen artists and their visual interpretations of Romance, creating an intriguing partnership between the Gallery and the Oceanside Theatre Company youth production of Beauty and the Beast, Jr.

A free event open to artists, families, art lovers and supporters, as well as the general public, the Artist Open House will feature live music, an artist working in the gallery on their current art piece, refreshments, and a concessions bar open for purchasing beer and wine.

Tuesday Night Comics at North Coast Rep Variety Nights

Tuesday Night Comics is arguably the funniest night of comedy in San Diego. 11th Annual Heart of a Child Benefit Concert

Now in its 11th year, “Heart of a Child” has become the premier showcase of young musical talent in San Diego. This benefit concert features a diverse array of talented vocalists and instrumentalists performing a variety of musical genres with acts both large and small. Becoming Dr. Ruth starring Tovah Feldshuh at North Coast Repertory Theatre

Most know Ruth K. Westheimer as Dr. Ruth, the extraordinary sex educator who empowered millions across the globe to claim their own sexual pleasure and fulfillment. Few know the whole story of losing her family in the Holocaust, her emigration to Israel where she became a sniper for the Haganah, or the complex personal journey that led her to fame and celebrity status. In Mark St. Germain’s compelling solo showcase, Ruth graciously invites the audience into her living room, chatting in her inimitable fashion while revealing the often-astonishing details of her unbelievable life.

Six-time Tony and Emmy nominee Tovah Feldshuh, is the industry standard for playing iconic Jewish women from Golda Meir to Ruth Bader Ginsburg. In BECOMING DR. RUTH, Feldshuh (TV’s “Law & Order,” “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend,” and “The Walking Dead”) deftly inhabits the warm, wise, witty persona of the beloved media figure. “Tovah is pitch-perfect in the role of Dr. Ruth.
