Early childhood education profoundly impacts how children perform in school and fare in adulthood. From navigating social relationships to problem-solving and creative thinking, investing in our children’s futures is more important than ever.

STEM and social-emotional learning in early childhood education lay the groundwork for countless skills children will need as they get older and become contributing community members. With the proper access and approach, educators and mentors can present children with learning opportunities where they can discover their own individual talents, tap into sources of inspiration and encouragement, and spark an innate love of learning.

Designed to spark your love of learning and stretch your thinking, we will explore the science behind early childhood education fundamentals and some of the latest advancements in the field. Registration includes a full day of learning from experts in the field, lunch, a museum tour, and a plenary networking session.

Adopt-a-Family Fundraiser

Please Join us on November 12th, 2022 from 3:00-6:00pm for the Adopt-a-Family Fundraiser. This family friendly event will feature a foundation hosted reception. Your ticket purchase will provide access to our hosted reception, featuring small and large platter appetizer bites, and two drink tokens, which will be redeemable for any draft beer, house wine, hard seltzer, and non-alcoholic beverages.

The Adopt-a-Family program spreads holiday cheer to clients of the San Diego Regional Center who are without family support or experiencing severe hardship. Through this program the foundation provides $50 gift cards during the holiday season, to qualified San Diego Regional Center clients who need a little extra support to have a joyous holiday season for their families.

Winter Wonderland Fashion Show & Luncheon

The Arc of San Diego presents Winter Wonderland Fashion Show & Luncheon on December 2, 2022 at The US Grant. This magnificent affair features a fashion show produced by Leonard Simpson, silent auction, and vendor boutique featuring the season’s finest trends.  All proceeds benefit The Arc of San Diego’s life-changing programs for children and adults with disabilities. Foundation Annual Day at the Races

Our biggest fundraiser of the year is here! Please join us for the Day at the Races, at the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club, on September 1st, 2022.

This promises to be an afternoon of fun, racing and a silent auction, all of which will directly benefit the foundation Emergency Help Fund.

The Covid-19 pandemic continues to cause unimaginable hardships for the families that we serve through the San Diego Regional Center. These families continue to be faced with impossible choices, whether to pay rent or put food on the table. In the past three months alone, the Foundation has provided over $65,000 in emergency assistance grants, ranging from $500-$1000 per client to help pay their rent, cover medical costs, and help improve the quality of life of people living with developmental disabilities in San Diego and Imperial Counties.

Coastal Cleanup Day

Site Captain Volunteers Needed! 

I Love A Clean San Diego presents the 38th annual Coastal Cleanup Day on Saturday, September 17, 2022. Join the largest single-day environmental cleanup effort in the San Diego County. You will be joining hundreds of thousands of volunteers all over the world by removing pollution from sites across the county!  Site captains are needed to lead cleanup sites in Oceanside and San Marcos. Changing the Mental Health Conversation One mind, One life at a time
Mental health is on our mind.
Interfaith Community Services is launching a unique initiative designed to change the conversation
surrounding mental health – one mind and one life at a time. Interfaith will host the inaugural Change Your
Mind festival on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2022 from 11 a.m. to -4p.m. at the Viasat campus in Carlsbad.
Attendees will be able to experience a full day of workshops, panels, and breakout sessions. Event topics
include Belonging, Destigmatizing Mental Health; Tools to Survive and Thrive; and Healing through the Arts.
Attendees can also take part in traditional and modern wellness experiences and activities such as live music,
dance performances, Yoga, guided meditation, sound baths, and much more.
This free event is open to the entire community with activities for people of all ages. Event participants will
help build awareness throughout San Diego about the importance of mental health and wellness. Please join
