Book Launch- ANEW Creation

Book Launch- ANEW Creation

Angel Mason Broadus April 27, 2022

Beth Thorp, and her husband, of the Mitchell Thorp Foundation have lived through every parents’ nightmare – losing a child. Their son Mitchell was diagnosed with an incurable disease that has still yet to be discovered. But after their heavy loss, they turned a tragedy into a miracle by catalyzing a movement to save the lives of children with life-threatening illnesses, diseases, and disorders.

Beth Thorp’s book ANEW Creation, is based on Mitchell’s life, their family struggle, and how the Mitchell Thorp Foundation is giving hope to children fighting for their tomorrows.

Proceeds from ANEW Creation will go directly to the Mitchell Thorp Foundation to bring a light of hope to children and their families. You can change a life with your purchase, show your love and support today!

Your cause doesn’t pause in a crisis. Get fresh perspectives on prospecting, presentation, and stewardship as you navigate new challenges and opportunities. Gain new tactics to apply as soon as you get back to your desk (or kitchen table).

VCC Holiday Homes Tour

North County Philanthropy Council September 24, 2018

It’s that time again! Holiday Homes Tour is Sunday, December 2nd this year.

The Vista Community Clinic (VCC) Holiday Homes Tour is a favorite tradition of the season for hundreds of area residents. The tour provides a close-up look at some of the most beautiful homes in the area. Proceeds from ticket sales and sponsorships benefit VCC’s Kare for Kids Fund, which helps us create warm and  welcoming pediatric facilities to  promote healing and a love of reading in our young patients.

If you missed out on 2017’s festivities, you sure won’t want to miss this years! VCC has four new exciting homes that they can’t wait to show you. With four nonprofits being represented this year, you’ll see what wonderful things can happen when communities come together.  The tour features four beautiful residences decorated for the holidays by a talented team of professional designers. Also on the tour is the historic Rancho Buena Vista Adobe, decorated in its own special holiday style reminiscent of a mid 19th century American Christmas. Breakfast and lunch can be enjoyed from a gourmet food truck while guests shop at the Holiday Gift Bazaar, located at Together We Grow in Vista, where local artisans display and sell one-of-a-kind creations.

Stay tuned for more information on this year’s homes and designer ideas. Follow us on Facebook and Instagram for design ideas, raffle sneak peaks, up to date information on what we’re doing, and more; just look for @vccholidayhomes on either social media platform to find us.

If you have any questions about how you can help, or would like to be a part of our special event as either a potential show-home or a vendor, please contact Betsy Heightman at 760-631-5000. Happy Holidays!
