Join Coastal Roots Farm for an intergenerational celebration of Chanukah on the Farm! On the 5th night of Chanukah, when the balance tips toward more light than darkness, we come together to honor the holiday’s spirit of resilience and hope.
Through shared delicacies, meaningful conversation, and engaging study, participants of all ages will connect with each other and Jewish tradition in an immersive, joyful way. Explore the garden illuminated by the glow of the holiday, play traditional games, and enjoy live music that will fill the night with energy and warmth.
People of any or no faith background are welcome! Come as you are and join us in spreading light, community, and festivity at the Farm.

You are invited to Coastal Roots Farm’s joyful Queer gathering in celebration of Sukkot, the Jewish harvest festival also called “the season of our joy.” Engage in joyful Sukkot traditions, get inspired by scholar and writer Hanz Enyeart who will share stories of little-known queer Jewish history-makers, eat, drink, and socialize with new friends as the sun sets. People of all backgrounds are welcome and encouraged!

Join us as we wrap up an incredible season of live music, impactful speakers, and inspiring films. The September 19 screening features two short films on the sustainable practices of oyster farming.
Gates open at 5:30pm with live music and tabling from local organizations.
Guests are encouraged to bring their own blankets, chairs, food, and drinks to enjoy the evening on the Farm.

Come celebrate a sweet Jewish New Year with us at Nature Play! Join us for a fun-filled morning on the Farm, complete with Rosh Hashanah-themed arts and crafts, story time, songs, and more delightful surprises! $8 per child and $8 for the first adult.

Join Director of Jewish Life Rebecca Joy Fletcher & guest artist Mikey Pauker for a joyful, participatory gathering on the Farm to welcome in the Sabbath. Through the moving melodies of Kabbalat Shabbat (the liturgy for Sabbath eve), approachable learning and embodied participation, you will be invited to let go of the week that’s past and to rest in the present moment, while connecting with the folks gathered around you. This sacred circle will be followed by a celebratory potluck dinner as the sun sets on our Farm! So please bring a vegetarian dish to share–purchased or home-made with enough for 6-8 people. We will provide the challah and wine for all.

Coastal Roots Farm welcomes people of all ages and backgrounds for our free festive summer Shabbat series on the Farm!
It’s a true picnic-style Shabbat. Bring a picnic dinner, a beverage, picnic blankets/chairs. We will provide music, a craft for the kids, a 10-15 minute tour of the Farm, some play time in Nature Play, a little learning for those that are interested, and welcome Shabbat with a beautiful sunset in the great outdoors.

Join us at ‘Paint and Nosh’, for an evening of creativity and community! Enjoy sipping and noshing with friends while painting the beautiful surroundings of the Farm. The event will be facilitated by an artist and farm educators, where you will learn about our core Jewish value of peleh, or wonder.
