Do you struggle to engage your entire Board in fundraising? Are some volunteer leaders carrying a lot more responsibility for resource development than others? Do Board members seem resistant to making introductions to prospective donors? If so, you aren’t alone and this interactive workshop is for you!
Together, we will unpack the common fundraising challenges that plague many nonprofit Boards and explore ways to build and maintain effective fundraising plans with volunteer leaders. Facilitated by Hannah Berger of The Philanthropy Coach, this workshop will feature an interactive presentation and discussion, plus group exercises that can be repurposed immediately for your organization.
This workshop is designed for Board members, executive staff and development professionals alike.

Meet the Presenter:
Hannah F. Berger, MPA
With 20 years of philanthropy experience, Hannah’s coaching and consulting is steeped in lived experience as a professional fundraiser, non-profit executive, campaign consultant and board member. Most recently, Hannah served as Chief Development Officer for A Place Called Home in South Central Los Angeles. Hannah has also served as National Director of Development for The Foundation for Prader-Willi Research, Director of Development for the New Children’s Museum in San Diego, and Senior Manager for the Herbalife Nutrition Foundation.
As a Consultant and Coach, Hannah has supported dozens of nonprofit organizations, specializing in major expansion campaigns, board recruitment and development, development audits, program restructuring and strategic development. An expert in revitalizing fundraising programs for exponential growth, Hannah skillfully builds authentic relationships with clients, donors, media and community members and enjoys coaching other professionals to do the same. Her no-nonsense, heart-centered approach motivates non-profit executives and board members to turn their passion for community, connection and justice into strategic goal setting and effective daily action.
Hannah holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration with an emphasis in Non-profit Sector Management from California State University, Northridge, and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from University of California, Irvine. Hannah is an avid traveler and currently based in Los Angeles.
