Farm Film and Music Series

Farm Film and Music Series

Angel Mason Broadus May 7, 2025

Join us this summer for a 5-part series featuring inspiring documentary films, local musicians, and meaningful conversations around equitable food systems, environmental justice, and caring for the planet.

Common Ground:  From the filmmakers of ‘Kiss the Ground’ (Netflix) comes the follow-up documentary ‘Common Ground’, winner of the Tribeca Film Festival. Common Ground is an important new documentary film featuring Laura Dern, Jason Momoa, Woody Harrelson, Ian Somerhalder, Donald Glover, Rosario Dawson, Mark Hyman, Gabe Brown, and many others. Directed by Josh and Rebecca Tickell, Common Ground provides hope for future generations with concrete ways to fix a broken planetary system. The film explores how regenerative agriculture can help heal the soil, our health and the planet.

8:00 pm Screening: Common Ground Screening

Our Food Forest Festival this year focuses on the 7 Sacred Species (wheat, barley, dates, figs, grapes, olives, and pomegranates).

Details: Celebrate the Jewish New Year of the Trees by planting over 100 trees, doing hands-on activities including DIY soap, jewelry, energy balls, and flatbread, learning sessions, Food Forest and vineyard tours, cooking demos, and playing in the Kids Zone with crafts, a petting zoo, a story walk, and the opportunity to become Jr. Ranger.
