The following message was written by an NCPC Premier member as part of their benefits of membership. NCPC does not create the content.
Amid this COVID-19 pandemic and statewide Stay-at-Home mandate, we are providing trusted counsel to our clients and helping them survive and thrive the crisis by adjusting best practices in fundraising.
How long have you been an NCPC member?
Netzel Grigsby Associates has been a Sustaining member since 2014 and upgraded to a Premier member in 2018.
What is your Mission?
Our mission is to help nonprofit organizations and institutions achieve their fullest potential by providing experienced professional organizational and financial development management and counsel, using the highest standards of excellence and ethical practices.
By partnering with nonprofits to advance their missions, we make our own contribution to creating positive change in the lives of others, and in building a better world for us all.
How do you benefit most from being a member of NCPC?
As a member of NCPC, our company benefits from networking with all types of organizations, nonprofits, board members, and other corporate entities. We also appreciate the opportunity to share knowledge about philanthropy and working with nonprofits, as well as to strengthen and give back to the profession in North County by serving on the NCPC board.
What do you offer to the community?
Netzel Grigsby Associates is one of the largest and most respected nonprofit consulting firms in the Western United States, with regional offices in San Diego, Orange County, Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, San Jose, and Hawaii. We help nonprofits build capacity through expert counsel in fundraising, planning, staffing, and training.
Since 1985, we have partnered with more than 1,100 nonprofits of every size and sector. Our clients include educational, health, and cultural institutions, faith-based groups, and a wide variety of human service, environment and animal welfare, social justice, and youth organizations. Our clients will share that our professional expertise, our ability to create a cost-effective strategy tailored to their organizational culture, and our genuine commitment to their success exceeded their expectations and left their nonprofits stronger.
Our San Diego team members also all serve as board members of nonprofits in the region, guiding them to achieve their missions and maintain fiscal accountability, gaining a richer understanding of the challenges our clients regularly face.
What is something about your organization/company that might surprise people?
Unlike many national and regional firms, our associates are employees, not contract staff, who live and work locally and who have extensive knowledge of the communities we serve. Our staff has more than 250 years of combined consulting experience.
We have a track record of proven results that is one of the strongest in the industry. We have met or exceeded fundraising goals in 98% of our campaigns during both good and challenging economic times, and we have raised more than $3 billion for nonprofits.
What was your organization/companies’ biggest accomplishment in the past six months – one year?
In the past year, our company’s Southwest region completed three major campaigns for the Flying Leatherneck Historical Foundation, Mission San Luis Rey Parish, and Imperial Valley Food Bank.
Our Southwest regional staff also established new working relationships with Diversionary Theatre, Foundation for the Children of the Californias, Mechanics’ Institute in San Francisco, The San Diego Maritime Museum, Cygnet Theatre, Naval Training Center Foundation, The Children’s Musical Theater in San Jose, Sacramento LGBT Community Center, Sacramento SPCA, Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute, and Truckee Meadows Community College Foundation in Reno.
