Event Navigation

The Oceanside International Film Festival returns to Downtown Oceanside this February for its 15th Season. Known as OIFF for short, the Festival has been no stranger to welcoming industry veterans into its venues throughout the years. The 2026 festival will be no different with the announcement of a spotlight retrospective of Hollywood Director, Writer & Producer Catherine Hardwicke. The event will take place at The Star Theatre on Saturday, February 28th with newly launched admission now available for the engagement.
The Special One-on-One Interview with Hardwicke will commence at 6:40pm, preceding only the festival’s 2026 closing Award Show thereafter. Moderated by OIFF Co-Programming & Artistic Director, Carly Starr Brullo-Niles, the intimate conversation will cover multiple highlights of the TWILIGHT, LORDS OF DOGTOWN & THIRTEEN Director’s extensive career. Hardwicke will be showing clips, storyboards, shot lists, & costume designs from her films. There will also be a generous amount of time devoted for audience member questions, allowing fans the chance to speak directly to Hardwicke. Tickets for the event are on sale now at osidefilm.org.
The 2026 Oceanside International Film Festival will be held on February 21st at The Brooks Theater (217 N Coast Hwy, Oceanside CA 92054) for Surf Saturday, and then from 25th through 28th at The Star Theatre (402 N Coast Hwy, Oceanside CA 92054) for the remainder of the festival’s dates. This is a change from the festival’s prior dates of February 17th – 21st at only the Brooks Theatre.
Established in 2009, The Oceanside International Film Festival’s mission is to provide a platform for media creators from all backgrounds to present their work to an appreciative audience, offering an opportunity for their art to be recognized.
