Are you looking for a way to get involved in your community? Social Venture Partners offers an incredible opportunity to use your skills for good.
San Diego Social Venture Partners (SVP) works to harness the enormous pool of untapped talent among professionals in San Diego for the benefit of nonprofit organizations serving our local community. SVP’s model recognizes that nonprofits have needs much like other businesses — better strategy, robust financial planning, more effective marketing plans, and so much more — but have few places to turn to for support. Indeed, despite the incredible services they provide, nonprofits simply cannot expand or improve without adequate organizational capacity.
SVP recruits and trains dynamic teams of local professionals (“Partners”) to offer pro bono, customized, hands-on support. With SVP’s collaborative support, nonprofits build the organizational strength needed for resiliency, creativity, and sustainability.
In 2023, SVP and its 80+ Partners achieved their most significant community impact to date, collaborating to help 30+ nonprofits addressing important issues such as homelessness, environmental degradation, job training, mental health, and so much more.
Join us and use your talents to help San Diego nonprofits increase their impact.
We all deeply value the tireless work our local nonprofits do to address pressing issues, but finding the right altitude at which to support them can sometimes be a challenge. Many volunteer opportunities require only basic tasks and leave talented individuals no avenue to activate their high-level skills for good. Moreover, nonprofits very often need more than just funding to translate their good intentions into impactful outcomes.
Joining SVP as a Partner will enable you to volunteer at the highest levels of an organization where your time is most valued. In addition, you will develop a network of like-minded individuals while working collaboratively in teams of your peers, all while expanding your knowledge about some of the most pressing issues in our own backyards.
“When I retired from the business sector, I wanted to begin a new chapter that was more community oriented. I was hoping to use my professional experience to support the greater good. SVP provided me with exactly that. I now feel a sense of purpose that I may not have found elsewhere.” – Robert Hill, SVP Partner and retired Deloitte Consulting Global Managing Partner
