Oceanside Theatre Company Returns to the Historic Brooks Stage with Broadway By The Beach,

Bringing Theatre Arts Summer Camp Back for Local Oceanside Youth

“Broadway Heroes & Villains” to open Friday, 7/2 and Saturday, 7/3 at 7:30 pm at The Brooks Theater

WHO/WHAT: After more than a year of shuttered doors at the Historic Brooks Theater, Oceanside Theatre Company (OTC), the resident professional theater company at the Brooks, will re-open for its Youth Theater Arts Summer Camp with an exciting live Broadway cabaret performance by local Oceanside area youth – ages 7 to 1.

This year’s production for the first of two youth camps is Broadway Heroes & Villains and will be performed by 30 area youth featuring 24 favorite musical theater song selections like “Easy Street” from Annie and “Holding Out For a Hero” from Footloose. The OTC Youth Summer Theatre Camp is a key program of the organization and is funded with generous grants from area foundations and individuals.

“We needed this; the kids, the staff, and the theater,” said Youth Program Coordinator and Board Member, Carol Naegele. “After all of the challenges we faced during the pandemic, this program just brings home the truth that the arts can bring us together.”

WHEN: Friday, July 2 @ 7:30 pm
Saturday, July 3 @ 7:30pm

WHERE: The Brooks Theater
217 N. Coast Hwy
Oceanside, CA 92054

TICKETS: $15 for adults/seniors/military, $7 for ages 4-17, and free for children under 4. Purchase tickets online at oceansidetheatre.org.
