What is your Mission?
The Sanford Institute of Philanthropy helps nonprofits to significantly increase their fundraising capabilities and the impact they have in their communities and society through a proven contemporary curriculum presented by world-class nonprofit leaders, best in class faculty, and renowned philanthropists.
What was your organization/company’s biggest accomplishment in the past six months?
We are thrilled to share that we have secured Beth Kanter to come to San Diego on April 18 to facilitate a workshop on burnout and self-care! See below for details.
What is something about your organization/company that might surprise people?
We are disruptors. Cause Selling is the foundation of our curriculum and work. Cause Selling essentially means “relationship-driven fundraising.” How to more effectively sell your cause and create champions of your organization through stronger donor relationships.

Nonprofit professionals work hard every day with limited resources which can result in burnout if they do not embrace self-care and the organization does not nurture a culture of well-being in the nonprofit workplace.
This session is about how and why it is important to treat self-care and well-being as an organizational strategy and cultural norm.
* Understand the basics of burnout symptoms and self-care practices that many nonprofit professionals are embracing to ensure their resilience in the face of significant challenges
* Get some practical tips for changing a toxic workplace culture into happy, healthy one and simple and low-cost ways to introduce well-being programs into your workplace
* Learn about the big return on investment that happens when a nonprofit prioritizes well-being in the workplace so you can make the case at your nonprofit
