NCPC Event: Nonprofit Social Enterprise

NCPC Presents

Nonprofit Social Enterprise

Dec 7 • 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM • Jacobs Center for Neighborhood Innovation

Do you want to diversify your nonprofit’s funding sources to more easily take on risks and innovate?

On December 7, join NCPC’s in-person program on nonprofit social enterprises, as we explore strategies to earn income while advancing your mission and vision.

Speakers will discuss:

☑️ What motivated them to start a social enterprise

☑️ How they determined the return on investment

☑️ Examples of lessons learned to refine their ventures, before audience Q&A

Speakers:

Janell Davis, Chief Operations Officer, Paving Great Futures – operates a catering program to support entrepreneur mentorship for historically marginalized communities, along with resources to operate small businesses.

Cheryl Kilmer, Chief Executive Officer, TERI Campus of Life – owns Common Grounds Café & Coffee Bar, which also trains people living with disabilities for careers in retail, restaurant, and culinary services.

Scott Henderson, Head Dot Connector/CoFounder, Doing Good Works – offers sustainable, purpose-driven promotional products to provide opportunities and support for individuals impacted by the foster care system.

Event Location: 404 Euclid Ave, San Diego, CA 92114 | Time: 4:00 – 6:00 PM

NCPC member Paving Great Futures is graciously hosting this event at the Jacobs Center for Neighborhood Innovation. Paving Great Futures provided the delectable catering at last year’s NCPC Mentorship Connector in Escondido, and we’re excited to visit their headquarters to see where their mission comes to life. See you there!
