We are thrilled to celebrate our 34th Annual Volunteer Awards Celebration on Friday, November 5, 2021.
For more than three decades, we have come together as a community of volunteers, philanthropists, business leaders, and nonprofit professionals with the commitment to sharing our time, talent, and treasure at the North County Philanthropy Council (NCPC) Volunteer Awards Celebration.
While we were looking to reconnect and see your smiling faces in person this year, the safety of our community is our #1 concern. With the ever-changing and unpredictable nature of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have made the difficult decision to change our hybrid event to once again a virtual format. We know this is not what many of us were hoping for, but it is what makes the most sense at this time in the pandemic.
We are thankful to Carlo Cecchetto, CBS TV-8 News anchor and co-host of The Four, who has generously agreed to emcee again and share the stories of our honorees like only he can. We will also be offering up again our well-received "Celebration in a Box" for you to host your own festivities. Stay tuned as we share more details in the coming weeks.
Thank you to all of you for understanding this position we are in right now. This year’s event will be another year of inspiration by the passion of each volunteer who will be recognized. So much good work has been done, many gifts have been shared, and many lives have been impacted. Together, no matter virtually or in-person, we look forward to magnifying the spirit of philanthropy to make positive change in our community.
The 2021 Celebration in a Box will cost $125 for a Box for 2. We encourage all organizations to purchase for their honoree as a gift and a way for them to celebrate this special event. Boxes are also available for "watch" parties with colleagues, friends and family.

Bliss Tea & Treats was born from founder Rushelle Gordon’s love of traveling and discovering relaxing tea experiences around the world. Her goal is to create a space where people can connect on and offline. At NCPC, Community and Connectivity are part of our core values so we are thrilled to be able to partner with Rushelle who also happens to be an NCPC member through her membership with North County African American Woman’s Association. Bliss Tea & Treats is a place where genuine customer care is their highest mission. They pledge to provide the finest tea experiences and products, and each guest will always enjoy a warm, relaxed ambiance. We believe this year’s Celebration in a Box will provide you with these same benefits.
Tea is more than simply a drink – it’s an experience. We encourage you to experience this Celebration in a Box with your "Volunteers of the Year" who are much more than a volunteer, they are true treasure.
