International Relief Teams is a nonprofit humanitarian organization based in San Diego dedicated to alleviating human suffering caused by poverty, disaster, and neglect – from the forgotten corners of the world to right here in the United States.
During disasters, International Relief Teams provide emergency supplies, including food, water, health kits, medicines, and other resources as needed. Our work continues through the recovery phase, supplying aid as long as it is needed in a variety of forms, including repairing and rebuilding houses.
International Relief Teams also support a wide variety of programs that promote the health and well-being of vulnerable communities. We tailor our activities to the needs of the communities we serve, and seek to address inequities, support access to services, and produce lasting results. Working with local partners and our dedicated volunteers, our programs focus on supporting the most vulnerable people, especially women and children, through the provision of emergency food, sustainable nutrition, medicines and medical supplies, and improved housing.
