Purpose:
Responsible for administrative, communications and marketing duties of small private school in Del Mar.
Provide fundraising support to the Winston School’s staff and volunteer leadership, campaign
committees, and donors in relation to the $5.5 million campus renovation campaign.

Works / Coordinates with:
Netzel Grigsby Associates (NGA) Fundraising Counsel
Duties Include:
Fundraising support
• Schedule all meetings, interviews, and logistics.
• Capable of answering questions from volunteers, donors, and staff concerning the campaign
plans.
• Prepare for all campaign meetings including notices (announcements, reminder calls or emails,
calendar invites, coordinating schedules, etc.) and all logistics including scheduling Zoom and in
person meetings and distributing invitations, room reservations, refreshments, parking
arrangements, print materials, etc.
• Take and distribute campaign leadership and volunteer committee meeting minutes (NGA will
review and provide input to meeting minutes prior to dissemination).
• Prepare correspondence and make follow-up phone calls (NGA can provide samples of
correspondence).
• Support cultivation events, such as small donor gatherings, receptions, and tours
• Manage the Donor Database (excel) with information pertinent to the Campaign.
• Assist in the coordination of support materials for all grant requests, track and follow up with
required reporting.
• Track all donations, pledges, multi-year gifts, matching gifts etc. and ensure all
acknowledgements, reminders, and associated communications are distributed accurately and
in a timely manner.
• Send prompt thank you letters/emails to donors and volunteers and coordinate with campaign
volunteers to express additional special gratitude as needed.
• Report regularly on campaign initiatives and track campaign goals.
Administrative, communications, marketing
• Participate as member of the communications team to clearly articulate school messaging.
• Work with website contractor to keep website up to date, including changes as it pertains to the
campaign, create and update communication materials when necessary.
• Develop and implement communications / marketing initiatives and strategies.
• Light graphic design (print/digital communications and supporting marketing materials).
• Maintain filesharing and keeping documentation up to date.
• Manage social media presence, track and update school rating sites
• Assist in public relations communications
• Support the Executive Director and Board Chair.
• Assume other administrative assignments as needed.
Requirements:
• Strong communication skills using the appropriate method, such as phone calls, in person, or
email with wide target audience.
• Outstanding writing skills
• Excellent keyboard skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, and the ability
to learn and use a file sharing system.
• Preferred fundraising and administrative experience with database management, letter writing,
research, and filing.
• Comfortable with ongoing donor interaction and communication.
• Attention to detail and task management.
• Able to work independently and with team with a high degree of professionalism.

• Flexible schedule, full time (part time considered)
• Hybrid work location
• Compensation: DOE full time pay range $65,000 – $80,000 per year, plus generous benefits
package including employer paid health insurance and 401k plan.
