Join I Love A Clean San Diego and the City of Vista for ‘Save Your Scraps,’ a FREE workshop on composting and food waste prevention!

Register today, the first 25 people to indicate their interest will walk away with a fully functioning vermicomposting bin (worm composting bin)!

Registration Link:  https://goo.gl/forms/0EJrOTdL1q7SBP6K2

Learn how to keep organics out of the landfill by shopping smart, storing food properly, and composting your scraps. We’ll also cover water conservation tools, such as ocean-friendly gardens and laundry-to-landscape systems. Activities include making vermicomposting bins and a ‘eco-kids’ craft corner. In addition to the workshop, participate in the community Swap ‘n Shop that will be set up! Bring items with you to add to the Swap and Shop and take whatever items you like! Some example items that have been brought to past workshops include clothes, nail polish, stereos, pet supplies, books, CD’s, picture frames, kitchenware, Halloween costumes, etc.

At the end of the workshop, 25 participants will be able to create and take home a vermicomposting bin. Please indicate your interest in the registration form.  Participants will be added on a first come, first serve basis. Please limit one per household.

Check out the event on Facebook by going to I Love A Clean San Diego’s page.   Hope to see you there!
