Final Workshop Part 3: How to Choose the Right Board – May 5

How do you make that important choice of which nonprofit to serve as a board member? Which questions do you ask and of whom? What documents should you review, including financials. What other due diligence do you need to do? What other key issues are involved?  These questions and more will be discussed at this workshop.

When considering board service, passion for a nonprofit’s mission is vital. Understanding what your responsibilities will be and how the board and organization operate are equally important.
Join NCPC for Part 3 of our Successful Board Series to learn the steps involved in choosing the right board. The presentation and robust interactive breakout session will answer such questions as:
  • What are the most important issues to understand about a nonprofit before you serve on its board?
  • What are the reasons you want to serve on a board and how do you determine the right fit?
  • What does it take to be a successful board member?
This last session of our Successful Board Series is perfect for anyone considering board service – and for nonprofit leaders and current board members who are looking to connect with motivated community members.
