A Racial Justice Committee Presentation Featuring Dr. Sabrina Liu

During this important and timely Racial Justice, Equity, Inclusion and Antiracism Webinar, Dr. Sabrina Liu will examine the effects of stress and trauma among BIPOC populations during critical developmental periods, including pregnancy and childhood. With a focus on both physical and mental health, Dr. Liu will explore factors that protect against these risks and promote resilience.

Dr. Sabrina Liu is an Assistant Professor of Human Development at California State University, San Marcos. Dr. Liu earned her Ph.D. from the Department of Counseling, Clinical, and School Psychology at the University of California, Santa Barbara and completed her APA-accredited doctoral internship at Cambridge Health Alliance/Harvard Medical School. Dr. Liu’s scholarly contributions have addressed topics such as Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), community and mass violence, natural disasters, forced migration, racism, and innovative intervention models for child mental health. Dr. Liu’s work is guided by her experiences as a trauma-informed Clinical Psychologist working with youth and families in hospitals, schools and community mental health centers.
