Join us for the first-ever Nonprofit NetWalk event at 8am on Thursday, August 18 in Oceanside! A relaxed and fun opportunity to network with nonprofit peers and get a jumpstart to your day while taking in inspiring views. We’ll walk 2-3 miles at a social pace along the boardwalk (aka “the Strand”) in Oceanside. Plus there will be the opportunity to receive some free coaching and mentoring from a professional coach and your peers. Location: Oceanside Pier – Meet us on street level @ Pierview Way and N. Pacific St.
Time: 8:00-9:15am
Description: The purpose of the Nonprofit NetWalk is to provide a fun, relaxed, and informal way to connect and network with fellow nonprofit professionals. There will also be an opportunity to receive some free coaching and mentoring support from your host and peers should you wish to share a challenge you’re facing.
Difficulty level: Easy. The walk will be about 2-3 miles at a social pace along a flat and accessible route for all. Our initial NetWalk will be along the boardwalk (aka “the Strand”) in Oceanside and heading south towards Wisconsin Ave.
Who can attend: Anyone in the nonprofit and philanthropic field. Leashed and well-behaved furry friends are welcome to accompany us.
Parking: There is plenty of free parking available on Cleveland and Tremont streets as well as metered parking along Pacific St.
Cost: Free
Additional info: Dress is casual with comfortable shoes. Depending on how much time and interest there is, we may saunter over to a nearby coffee/smoothie establishment afterwards.
There’s also the weekly Farmer’s Market which begins at 9am for those who wish to explore on their own afterwards.
