Mitchell Thorp Foundation Grand Slam Party!

Pillars of Hope Grand Slam at the Omni La Costa Resort and Spa, on Saturday, July 28th, 2018, presented by The Mitchell Thorp Foundation and San Diego Aviators World Team Tennis.  This fun and important event will feature top ranked pro tennis players coming together for a great cause.  Proceeds from the dinner, tennis play, and silent and live auctions will benefit the Mitchell Thorp Foundation (MTF) a public 501c3 organization which was founded in 2009 by Brad and Beth Thorp in honor of their teenage son, Mitchell, who died of an undiagnosed illness in 2008.  The Foundation’s mission is to help families in the region, who have children suffering from life-threatening illnesses, diseases and disorders, by providing financial, emotional and resource support to their desperate situations. In addition, the “Pillar of Hope” Award, will be given out that evening in honor of top doctors, educators, therapists and institutions, who are pillars of strength in the medical community.

Dinner, Silent and Live Auctions will be held from 3:30 -7:00 p.m. Guests will enjoy VIP Seats from 7:00 -9:00 p.m. to watch and be entertained by the San Diego Aviators, DJ music, Fun games and autographs by players! This fabulous fun event will include dinner stations with wine pairing, cash bar, live music, silent and live auctions, to include fabulous trips to Cabo San Lucas Mexico, the wine country and much more. Tickets are only $150 for the dinner and auction and $200 for dinner, auction and a ticket to the Aviator’s WTT match following.  Don’t know what to do with kids? Bring your kiddos and let them experience the Grand Slam Kids Night for only $45, while you’re having fun at the dinner and auction!  The children’s program includes dinner, games and tennis, no experience necessary just come out and have fun.  Check in for kids program is 3:00 p.m.
