EllaMarie Powell is the in-house Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility Specialist for Mission Edge and is passionate about driving positive work environments through education and awareness.

After serving more than 20 years in the United States Air Force as an Air Traffic Controller, Education and Training Coordinator, and an Instructional System Designer, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from American Military University and a Masters of Professional Studies in Organization Development and Change Management from Pennsylvania State University.

In 2015, EllaMarie began her work as a Resilience Training Assistant (RTA), assisting fellow team members on how to recognize and overcome challenges in their everyday lives. She specialized in team building, cultural diversity, violence/suicide prevention and promoting a work-life balance. She obtained her Master Resilience Trainer certificate in 2020, and began teaching others how to develop into their roles as RTA’s.

EllaMarie was given the opportunity in 2020 to join in the development of Grand Forks Air Force Base’s Diversity and Inclusion program for 4,000 personnel across 6 geographical locations. She earned her Diversity and Inclusion certificate from Cornell University in 2021 and has continued her efforts to promote equal opportunities in both her military and civilian careers.
