“Getting Down to Business: The Power of Philanthropy and Business Leaders Addressing Homelessness”

Featuring:

Dan Shea, Paradigm Investments

Dan Novak, Lucky Duck Foundation Board Member
Peter Seidler, Padres Managing Partner

Padres Managing Partner Peter Seidler and restauranteur Dan Shea lead a group of business and philanthropic leaders working to address homelessness in San Diego. Luncheon attendees will hear first-hand how this group got started, why they have donated millions to help people overcome homelessness, and how they have worked to leverage their philanthropic investment to increase and influence government funding and support around homelessness.

Morning Presentation: Connect with United Way’s New CEO, Nancy Sasaki

United Way has engaged in a community survey and a board retreat to recommit to its direction and role in the community. The new CEO, Nancy Sasaki, is on a listening and feedback tour to hear from the community about your thoughts on the direction and the messaging. Connecting with business has always been a strong component of the work of the United Way. Learn more and help inform United Way about its direction and messages going forward!
