About FundaMental Health

FundaMental Health is a San Diego-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to making quality mental healthcare accessible to those who need it most. We provide financial grants, personalized case management, and referrals to providers, all at no cost to participants. We serve community members who face financial or cultural barriers to getting the support they deserve, including youth, LGBTQ+ individuals, veterans, and people experiencing homelessness.

The Opportunity
We’re looking for an organized volunteer who is passionate about our mission to join our small but mighty team as an Event Marketing Volunteer to help plan and execute our annual fundraising gala: Brunch with a View.

Time Commitment

• 3–5 hours per week (virtual)
• Must have on-site availability in North County San Diego the week of October 10th for venue prep and day-of execution
• Duration: Now through October 2026, with potential to continue in an ongoing volunteer capacity

About Brunch with a View
Brunch with a View is FundaMental Health’s annual fundraising gala — an intimate, community-centered brunch featuring a delicious menu, bottomless mimosas, fine wine and craft beer tasting, live music, and personal stories that bring our mission to life. Held at Viewpoint Brewing Co. in Del Mar, it’s an event that brings together donors, advocates, and neighbors who care deeply about mental health in San Diego.

What You’ll Do
Event Planning & Logistics

• Coordinate with the venue on layout, catering, and logistics
• Build and manage the event timeline and run-of-show
• Track RSVPs, manage the guest list, and oversee ticketing (GiveButter)
• Source and coordinate with vendors (music, decor, A/V, etc.)
• Prepare day-of materials (signage, table cards, check-in flow)
• Be on-site the week of October 10th to oversee setup, run the event, and manage breakdown

Marketing & Communications

• Collaborate with social media team to draft content leading up to the event
• Coordinate event related email campaigns
• Assist in outreach to potential sponsors
• Work with graphic designer as needed for event graphics and materials

Team Collaboration

• Join regular check-ins with the FundaMental Health team
• Provide updates on planning progress and flag any needs
• Bring creative ideas and a proactive attitude to every stage of the process

You’re a Great Fit If You…

• Are available weekdays to join team meetings and respond to timely Slack messages cross departmentally
• Have experience planning events, fundraisers, or community gatherings (professional or volunteer)
• Are comfortable with project management and keeping multiple moving pieces organized
• Have a knack for marketing copy, social media, or community outreach
• Are a self-starter who can work independently and manage your own time
• Care about mental health, equity, and community wellbeing
• Can be in San Diego the week of October 10th, 2026
