Position Title: Murry Galinson San Diego – Israel Initiative (MGSDII) Program Manager
Reports to: CEO of Leichtag Foundation
Supervises: N/A
FLSA Status: Regular, Full-Time, Exempt, Hybrid
Position Overview
The MGSDII Program Manager will amplify the impact of MGSDII by assisting in the management and
execution of all aspects of MGSDII. With a focus on curating solid relationships and partnerships, managing all logistics and operational functions, developing creative communications tools and messaging, and stewarding and appreciating donors effectively, the MGSDII Program Manager plays a critical role in impacting Israel education in San Diego.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
● Lead the planning and execution of MGSDII programs, including Salon Member events, partner
organization collaborations, visiting professor speaking engagements, and other programs, as
assigned, including the creation of marketing materials, all related communications, and relevant
outreach.
● Develop, curate, and steward excellent relationships with San Diego partner organizations, including
but not limited to Lawrence Family JCC, Hillel of San Diego, university clubs and student entities,
and more.
● Manage Classroom Collaboration programs
○ Curate and program San Diego-based Classroom Collaboration events
○ Oversee domestic and international travel arrangements
○ Work with universities to ensure travel documentation for faculty and students are
completed and submitted correctly
○ Manage budget and process reimbursements for lead faculty members.
● Manage Visiting Professor Program
○ Coordinate logistics for visiting professors, including invitations, arrivals, contracts,
documentation, housing, and transportation.
○ Serve as the primary contact with universities to ensure smooth logistical coordination and
experiences for visiting professors.
● Manage donor stewardship systems and data
● Track donations to MGSDII using Microsoft and Salesforce platforms, preparing donor
acknowledgment letters and supporting donor stewardship efforts.
● Develop and maintain an accurate contact database
● Support development, creation, and implementation of MGSDII of MGSDII budget and work closely
with the Finance Department to track expenses and adhere to the budget.
● Work with the Impact Cubed Communications team to coordinate all communication needs, including
website management and newsletter curation.

Required Qualifications and Experience

● Strong connection to the state of Israel and knowledge about its people, culture, and history

tasks and manage multifaceted projects
● Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to understand and manage emotions effectively while
fostering positive relationships with colleagues and partners
● Proficient in writing and designing engaging newsletters and communications that effectively
convey the mission and enhance engagement
● Strong skills in graphic design
● Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
● Prior experience with CRM systems
● Works well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
● Experience working both as part of a team and individually to achieve project goals
● Possess strong problem-solving skills and have a successful track record
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
● Salesforce experience
● Proficiency in written and verbal skills in the Hebrew language
● Experience working in an academic setting, collaborating with faculty, students, and administrative
staff
● Experience with donor stewardship
Education
● Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
● Master’s degree preferred.
● 4-6 years working in related fields with experience in a nonprofit organization or university setting
preferred.

Computer, printer, office equipment.
Work Environment
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The MGSDII Program Manager may occasionally work outdoors, exposed to Southern California outside temperatures, chemicals used in the agricultural industry, and loud noises.

Salary Range: $78,000 – $106,000/year
