Dementia Live, operated by For Their Thoughts Foundation, is an in-person experience of what it’s like to have dementia. It is ideal for professionals, personal caregivers or friends of someone with dementia. This experience empower you with communication, relationship building and quality of life tools .

For Their Thoughts is a nonprofit that supports dementia families by empowering them with resources and immersive education. We are looking for volunteers/interns to help with the execution of our Fall Dementia Live sessions. This is a 2-3 hour commitment a few times a month. If you’ve been impacted by dementia, have organizational skills and, interested in supporting a good community outreach program, we’d love to have you as a volunteer!

The initial volunteering will be to help check people in, run the experience and overall logistics. We will train every volunteer for success.

September session we need volunteers for:

• Saturday, September 9th 9am-1am at Carlsbad Senior Center
• Tuesday, September 19th – 5pm – 7pm Dementia Live Happy Hour

We also have several October dates we’ll post soon.  We are looking for 3-5 volunteers that we can train and with advance notice can sign up to support sessions. Right now everything is in English but we have a goal to support the spanish speaking community in 2024. There is also advancement to potential paid position for volunteers that want to advance and are the right fit.
