Thank you to everyone who participated in this year's 34th Annual Volunteer Awards Celebration on Friday, November 5, 2021. Whether you were a sponsor, a "Volunteer of the Year", one of our members honoring one of their volunteers, one of our volunteers who packed up or delivered the "Celebration in a Box", part of the production team or anyone in between, we could not have done it without you!

For more than three decades, we have come together as a community of volunteers, philanthropists, business leaders, and nonprofit professionals with the commitment to sharing our time, talent, and treasure at the North County Philanthropy Council (NCPC) Volunteer Awards Celebration and this year was no exception albeit virtual for the second year in a row. We were still able to make one day extra special for 126 individuals who make our lives better year round.

Please watch the recording above and be inspired by the incredible volunteers who are our friends, family and neighbors - the heroes of our community!

Lifetime Achievement Award

Christy Wilson
President & CEO
Rancho Santa Fe Foundation

NCPC presented its first NCPC Lifetime Achievement Award to Christy Wilson, President & CEO of Rancho Santa Fe Foundation, having served in the role for almost 25 years.

The Lifetime Achievement Award was created to celebrate an individual who has given themselves wholeheartedly to our community by bringing leaders, philanthropists, volunteers, organizations, businesses, and corporations together in collaboration.
Christy and RSF Foundation joined NCPC in 2001 and Christy has played an important part in NCPC’s development having served in numerous board roles including Vice President, President, and Past President.
Under Christy's leadership, RSF Foundation has:
  • created programs like The Patriots Connection, North County Senior Connections, and North County COVID19 Response Fund to bring together philanthropists and address our community needs
  • given over $108 million in grantmaking since 2001
  • and grown to more than $150 million in assets.

Throughout the years, Christy has served on countless committees and speaker panels. She is a member of AFP, NCPC, Catalyst of San Diego and Imperial Counties, the National Partnership for Philanthropic Planning, and the League of CA Community Foundations.

NCPC is honored to celebrate the incredible impact her leadership has had on San Diego philanthropy!
