Reporting to our Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Development Officer (CDO) will oversee our charitable giving efforts to meet or exceed revenue goals in all areas including: individual giving, monthly giving club, planned giving, major gifts, community campaigns, grants, philanthropic partnerships and special events. It is envisioned the CDO will develop the revenue strategy for the organization, growing to an annual budget of $8 million.  She/he will oversee the Major Gifts team and the Associate Director of Philanthropy who will implement the development strategy and manage the other development team members.

This is a high-profile position and requires attendance at events across the community, as well as some public speaking.  She/he will lead major gifts efforts, meeting a minimum personal goal of $1.5 million per year in individual gifts as well ensuring the team goal is achieved. This includes growing the Foundation to take us to our 2025 goal of $8 million.  She/he will have wide latitude to develop new and existing funding streams in order to diversify the organization’s revenue base.

She/he will serve on our Executive Leadership Team, and will oversee the implementation of fundraising best practices with regards to strategy, structure and processes.
