Event Navigation
Few things are more important to a nonprofit’s success than the strength and effectiveness of its development professionals. The work of the fundraiser makes possible the work and impact of the organization. But development professionals do more than raise funds, they are vital ambassadors in the community for the organization’s work – often acting as the face of the organization in a myriad of contexts and settings.
In a region as culturally and racially diverse as San Diego County, how are we inspiring a diverse rising generation of fundraisers? How must the field respond to ensure that development professionals reflect the diversity of the region and all communities served by our sector? Why is this important to our success and community impact and how can we create the spaces and tools to nurture fundraisers of color and diverse philanthropy and leadership teams? These questions and more will be explored in a unique peer-to-peer encounter on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Fundraising Field. This facilitated conversation will share the latest developments on growing diversity in philanthropy and provide an opportunity for fundraisers to discuss and share their experience and aspirations for the future of the profession.
